I'm Park Nam-kyu, National Forensic Service Director.
As criminal activity in modern times becomes more sophisticated and advanced,
the importance of forensic science in the
process of solving crimes is becoming increasingly evident.
Against this backdrop, the National Forensic Service (NFS)
has been solidifying its position
as the best analytical institute in Korea for more than 60 years since
its establishment in 1955.
The Service has spearheaded the development and spread of state-of-the-art
analytical techniques through relentless research
and development aimed at developing practical
analytical technologies required for forensic work. The NFS will further strive to take a
forward on the basis of the highest moral integrity, professionality, and the
pursuit of public interests.
The NFS will spare no efforts to build a foundation of trust with the people by enhancing
its analytical quality, improving customer service, and fostering a positive workplace
that is a model to public officials. Furthermore, it will endeavor to stand at the global
forefront of forensic science through greater cooperation and technology exchange with overseas institutes.
