Operation of in-depth educational programs to cultivate scientific investigation professionals
In order to cope with increasingly sophisticated crimes, the NFS operates specialized educational programs on forensic science for the scientific investigation staff and officers of the central and local governments, with the aim of helping to develop problem-solving skills through participation and practice. The NFS is developing new educational programs to meet the growing training needs.

- Promote scientific investigation through education on the analysis of evidence/traces and blood stain types
- Increase the capability of investigators through practice-focused education on evidence/traces and blood stain types

Forensic chemistry and the chemical analysis of fingerprints
- Develop scientific investigation through education of methods of collecting and analyzing chemical evidence
- Strengthen the capability of investigators through practice-focused education on the chemical analysis of fingerprints, trace evidence, and volatile substances

Traffic accident investigation
- Increase knowledge through the understanding of methods and processes of analyzing and assessing traffic accidents
- Enhance the task capability of police officers responsible for traffic accident investigation using assessment cases.

- Increase sexual crime investigation capability through education on theories and practices regarding digital evidence, genetic factors, drugs, trace evidence, and psychology

- Increase efficiency in the investigation of victims and witnesses through education on the cognitive science of law, cognitive neuroscience, and memory
- Develop forensic psychology investigation capability through the education of theories and practices on memory enhancement and memory accuracy testing techniques, using the cognitive science of law and cognitive neuroscience
